HAY RIVER — Emergency Department Operating with Reduced Number of Physicians
The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) is maintaining Emergency Department (ED) services at the Hay River Regional Health Centre with a reduced number of on-site physicians and support from virtual care physicians.
From April 10 to 16, the ED will remain open and accessible to the public. While physician coverage is limited, virtual physician support and nursing staff will continue to provide care to patients in need.
No closures are planned at this time. However, residents are asked to be mindful that wait times may vary depending on physician availability and patient volumes.
Virtual physicians are licensed healthcare professionals who provide care remotely, including assessments, prescriptions, and follow-up care. They work closely with on-site staff to ensure continuity of care.
In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.
HRHSSA appreciates the community’s patience and the dedication of our healthcare teams during this period of reduced staffing. We remain committed to providing safe, timely, and effective care to all residents.
HAY RIVER — Medical Clinic Services Operating with Reduced Number of On-site Practitioners
The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) is advising residents that the Hay River Medical Clinic will continue to provide services during a reduction of on-site practitioner availability. From April 10 to 16, the clinic will operate with a reduced number of practitioners.
Despite the reduced staffing, the clinic remains open and committed to meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Patients may experience longer wait times during this period, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
No closures are planned at this time. Residents are encouraged to continue accessing services as needed and to call 811 for non-emergency medical advice.
HRHSSA thanks the community for its continued support and acknowledges the dedication of our healthcare teams in maintaining essential services.
