HAY RIVER — Emergency Department Coverage Update
The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) is pleased to confirm that the Emergency Department (ED) at the Hay River Regional Health Centre is operating at full capacity.
From October 31 to November 7, regular emergency services will be provided without disruption. The ED is prepared to meet the needs of the community.
Residents can continue to access emergency care as usual.
In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.
HRHSSA thanks the community for its ongoing support and acknowledges the efforts of our healthcare professionals who make this level of service possible.
HAY RIVER — Medical Clinic Services Continue with Virtual Support
The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) is advising residents that the Hay River Medical Clinic will continue to provide services during a temporary reduction in on-site practitioner availability.
From October 31 to November 7, the clinic will operate with a reduced number of practitioners, supported by virtual care practitioners and nursing staff.
Despite the reduced staffing, the clinic remains open and committed to meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Patients may experience longer wait times during this period, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Virtual practitioners are licensed healthcare professionals who provide care remotely, including assessments, prescriptions, and follow-up care. They work closely with on-site staff to ensure continuity of care.
No closures are planned at this time. Residents are encouraged to continue accessing services as needed and to call 811 for non-emergency medical advice.
HRHSSA thanks the community for its continued support and acknowledges the dedication of our healthcare teams in maintaining essential services.
